The United states of America after thoroughly monitoring the good strides made my the knowledgeable minister for Agriculture, Owusu Afriyie, for barely three(3) years of implementing Planting For Food and Jobs with prudent management of PFJ, the organisers of WORLD FOOD PRIZE has conferred prestige on the honourable minister for Agriculture, Dr Akoto, by nominating him to the 2021/ 2022 World food prize.
Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, indeed you have proven to your critics that with determination and perseverance whatever one intends to do it will surely be manifested.
Upon all the attacks and discouragement your critics heaped unto you, you remained steadfast and focus and you have been raised by the US Flag.
Your dynamism, efficient and effective leadership has attracted the US to have nominated you to take the world most prestigious awards.

The World food prize is an international award instituted to recognize the achievements of individuals who have advanced human development by improving quality and making food available for consumption.
The Food Prize award came into force in 1987. The prize is awarded yearly to individuals whose contributions have made food abundant for consumption.
Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto’s nomination is base on:
