United Television, Fadda Dickson, Nana Ama Mcbrown, A-Plus, Mr. Logic have been ordered by a Tema High court to pay GH60,000 for contempt of court
This follows a legal suit filed by the Ashanti regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako, better known as Chairman Wontumi. Failure to do so means they will be serving a jail term.
This comes after Counsel for and on behalf of Chairman Wontumi, Maurice Kwabena Ampaw ESQ., on the 13th of July 2022 stated in an affidavit of support to the High Court that “United Showbiz which airs on UTV, set an agenda which was heavily produced by Fadda Dickson to give Afia Schwarzenegger, the “needed platform to strengthen her case before the court and to seriously prejudice the matter before this Honourable Court.”
Afia Schwarzeneggar had alleged she had had sex with the plaintiff and dated the plaintiff for 16 months, which the plaintiff noted that it had damaged his hard-earned reputation.
The report to the court also contained a portion where one of the respondents, Kwame APlus on the same show described the writ before the court as useless.
