In a sudden turn of events, popular radio talk show host Blessed Godsbrain Smart also known as Captain Smart, has been arrested and detained By National Security operatives shortly after he was granted bail.
The contentious media personality was granted a Ghc 50,000 bail with two sureties By an Accra Circuit Court earlier today.
He was all smiles and hearing home when National Security officials swooped in and whisked him away.
Captain Smart who was charged with two respective counts of extortion and abetment to extortion pleaded not guilty and was Granted bail only to be arrested and detained By National Security.
Videos posted on the official Instagram page of TV3 saw moments Captain Smart was entering the security vehicle.
Another slide captured the famous personality sleeping face down on a mat on the floor of the police cells.
It is unclear why he was re-arrested after the court granted him bail.
Lawyer of Captain Smart, Mr. Martin Kpebu told the court that his client was an anti corruption crusader who had become a victim of the forces of corruption.
Mr. Kpebu believes his client was set up and made to look bad because of the work he is doing for mother Ghana.
