Bono Region: Police Arrest Five Suspected Drug Peddlers
Police in Berekum have arrested five suspected drug addicts and peddlers in a swoop at Berekum in the Bono Region
It was conducted to clamp down on criminal activities in the area.
The suspects are Felix Nyarko,18, Ernest Atta Yeboah, 22 and Emmanuel Darko, 22.
The rest are Gideon Nketiah, 22, and Fredrick Takyi 20.
They have been placed in police custody for further investigations.
Six containers filled with dried leaves and a piece of compressed leaves suspected to be Indian hemp were found and retrieved at the scene.
A police situational report made available to Journalists in Sunyani said the swoop was conducted on January 27, 2022 at the Berekum township and Senase, a suburb of criminal hideouts.
