Black Stars To Play In Four-Nation Tournament Ahead Of World Cup
As part of preparations for the World Cup to be staged in Qatar later this year, the Black Stars of Ghana will be taking part in a four-nation tournament to be held in June.
The Kirin Super Cup 2022, a one-week mini-football tournament, will be hosted by Asian giants Japan from Friday, June 10 to Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
Aside Ghana and Japan, North African side, Tunisia, and the South American side Chile are the other countries expected to participate in the tournament.
The matches will be played at the Noevir Stadium Kobe in Misaki Park, Hyogo-ku, Kobe and the Panasonic Stadium Suita, located in the city of Suita, Osaka Prefecture.
Japan, Tunisia, and Ghana will use the tournament as part of their preparations for the continental showpiece, which will take place from November 21 to December 18 in the Gulf region.
The Black Stars will begin the mini-tournament against host nation Japan on Friday, June 10, while Tunisia comes up against Chile in the other semi-final game on the same day.
Ghana will play their second match on Tuesday, June 14 against Tunisia or Chile regardless of the result of the match against Japan.
