The Black Stars’ head coach, Otto Addo, has indicated that the team must adapt to attacker Inaki Williams’s strengths.
Despite performing at the top level for his club, Athletic Club in Spain, the striker struggles to shine when he features for the Black Stars.
This has become a major concern for Ghanaians who want to see Inaki Williams succeed in the colours of the Black Stars.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference on Wednesday ahead of Ghana’s encounter against Angola, Coach Otto Addo said his team needs to play in a way that will utilize the qualities of Inaki Williams more.
“The players have to adapt to him as well. We know what his strengths are—running deep, threatening the last line, pushing defenders back—and we need to utilize his qualities more.
It’s always a two-way street; he can make his game more flexible, but we also need to focus on putting him in the best position to succeed,” Otto Addo shared.
Ghana will play Angola on Thursday, September 5, at 4 p.m. at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
