Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah has been named in England’s 2024 Euros provisional squad by manager Gareth Southgate.
The 21 year old player is eligible to play for Ghana, England, Scotland and Barbados but is angling towards representing England in international football after accepting the call up.
It is his first call up to the Three Lions after impressing in his debut season with Liverpool in the English Premier League having spent a season out on loan at Bristol Rovers.
In 17 league appearances, Quansah scored two goals en route to winning his first title at the elite level when Liverpool won the Carabao Cup.
Quansah is one of the surprise inclusions in the 30 man team that is set to be pruned to 26 for the Championship that commences on June 14 in Germany.

Liverpool teammate Curtis Jones also received an invitation alongside Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace and Chelsea centre back Levi Colwill.
