Dede Ayew To Appear Before Parliament Over Ghana’s Poor Display At AFCON

Captain of the senior national team of Ghana, Andre Ayew is expected to make an appearance before the august house of parliament to answer questions on the country’s disastrous Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The four times African champions bowed out of the tournament at the group stage after failing to win a single game.

According to reports, parliament will invite the captain, the Sports Ministry, the Ghana Football Association and the National Sports Authority for questioning.

Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Youth, Sports and Culture, Johnson Kwaku Adu told Accra-basedFM that Andre Ayew will appear before an investigation team as the country looks for solutions to the poor AFCON performance.

Parliament will start investigation from the 16th to the 18th of February, as all stakeholders have been given invitation to appear before the sports select committee. Andre Ayew is likely to answer questions via zoom because of his involvement with club football in Qatar.
