Madam Harris and her entourage joined the likes of Black Sherif, Amaarae, Mensa, Joey B, Aria Boss, TMSK DDJ, and Poetra Asantewaa at the Vibrate Space in Accra for the Spotify Masterclass.
Joining their local counterparts were Abbot Elementary’s Sheryl Ralph and Idris Elba who are currently in Ghana for specific projects.
The Ghanaian music space situated at the Freedom Skate Park was launched by the local art collective, Surf Ghana, and started operations in October last year.
It boasts audio recording, mixing, mastering, and editing equipment, along with creative consultations and Masterclasses for musical artists.
The First female Vice-President of the United States wore a purple pants suit at the engagement and greeted the artists before proceeding to give a speech at the event.
Speaking to Ghanaian female DJ, THE MASKED DJ, the VP revealed that she had read about the DJ and her work prior to meeting her.
“I have read about you,” was quoted as saying.
Harris began her three-nation African tour with her visit to Ghana on Sunday as part of US foreign policy plans to tackle Russia and China’s influence in Africa.
