Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has cautioned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to maintain Dr. Bawumia as flagbearer and not to exchange him for any other candidate since he remains their best bet of winning the 2028 Presidential election.
Speaking on Wontumi TV which monitored by Wontumionline.com, lawyer Ampaw stated that it has become necessary for the NPP to stick to Bawumia because of the explosive expose investigative journalist, Anas Amereyaw Anas has on Kennedy Agyapong.
“I am telling you that Anas has another expose about Kennedy Agyapong. I know what I am talking about. Anas has scandals about Kennedy Agyapong that he has kept away from the public, he wants to punish Kennedy Agyapong by running his political career and business”, he said.
He pointed out that Anas is waiting patiently for the NPP to make a mistake of electing Kennedy Agyapong as flagbearer and that would be the moment he will hit him with a second expose.
The NPP will “surrender” if “they make a mistake” of choosing Keendyd Agyapong as flagbeaer, he said.
Kennedy Agyapong in his view is a “nice gentleman” and a presidential material but hasn’t gotten to the stage to lead the NPP “now”.
“NPP should help Kennedy Agyapong deal with Anas and represent Bawyumia as flagbearer”, he said.
