A member of the NPP communications team, Ellen Ama Daaku, has advised parents with children who are yet to have their secondary education, never to vote for the NDC.
Her reason is that once the NPP leaves power, the free SHS Ghanaians are currently enjoying, will be scrapped by the NDC administration.
Speaking on Movement In The Morning show with Kwaku Dawuro on Movement TV, she mentioned that once the NDC government comes into power, parents should start saving about Thirty to Forty Thousand Ghana cedis to cater for their wards secondary school. Although currently the fees are being absorbed by the NPP government, the narrative will be different once the NDC takes over.
“My child is only eleven years old and because I would want him to equally enjoy the free SHS policy, I wouldn’t keep mute about this at all. This is a caution to all parents, to be forewarn is to be forearm, if we mistakenly vote for the NDC, we are doomed. Immediately we do that, we should start saving some 30,000 or 40,000 for our wards’ education because the free SHS policy will be cancelled”, she said.
“Even those who are currently enjoying Free SHS are still lamenting over the purchase of just chop box and other materials. So, imagine if the government hadn’t absorbed the fees…Just like our parents had to sell their properties to carter for our education, same will happen if we vote for NDC…we need to constantly remind Ghanaians…”, she emphasized.
She furthered that the free SHS policy has relieved a lot of MPs including NDC MPs and MMDCEs off their burdens. Their constituents no linger go to queues at their houses to demand for fees.
She urged all Ghanaians and NPP patriots to work and campaign hard to ensure that the NPP remains in power or else there will be retrogression once the NDC takes over.
