A candidate for the National Women’s Organizer positions for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the just ended 2022 National Annual Delegates Conference, Ellen Ama Daaku, has urged Ghanaians to be mild with female politicians during campaigns.
She said this on Movement In The Morning Show with Kwaku Dawuro on Tuesday, 19th July, 2022.
Ama Daaku voicing out her frustration said ,”some of the questions they ask during campaigns has no link with my policies. No man has been asked of their relationship or marriage status during campaigns, so why is the story different when it comes to women. I was asked who my father was, whether I’m married and have kids, and I was even asked if I was in a relationship with a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member. These questions are useless. Someone needs to come out and break the chain. It has become a standing block for some women because some of the questions are diminishing”.
Madam Daaku further added she will continue to play her role in the party and governance.
