Bawumia Reveals What The 2020 Poll Is About

Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic, has affirmed that the 7th December election is about development and future of the country.

He said that, Ghanians will on December 7 determine the development and future of the nation through the ballot.

Addressing the people of Kwamang on his working visit to the Ashanti Region which was monitored by Wontumionline.com Dr. Bawumia said that, during former President Kufuor’s regime, he introduced NHIS, free maternal care, Metro Mass Transit, National Youth Employment.

He said that, the NPP told Ghanaians in the 2008 election campaign that, when the NDC comes to power they will truncate or collapse all the policies but Ghanians were adamant.

“NDC increased the electricity and water tariffs after all they introduced dumsor and placed economic hardship on Ghanaians.” Vice President bemoaned.

He rejoiced that, when Ghanians listened to the cry of Akufo-Addo in 2016, he has restored the teacher-nurses trainee allowances.

“We have introduced Planting for Food and Jobs to help farmers and has increased the prices of cocoa.” He said

For his part, the Chief of Kwamang, Nana Biritwum Okyere Bediako said that, he is happy to welcome the Vice President, government officials and party executives to the area.

“I cannot talk about your good works. We have witnessed the enormous achievements like the school feeding, the Astro turf at Kwamang SHS and others. So continue with the good works.” He said

Nana Okyere Bediako was full of praise for the Planting for Food and Jobs because there are abundant of food in the area.

The Plights Of Kwamang

He appealed to Dr. Bawumia that, the security of the area is in bad shape adding that Fulani herdsmen and armed robbers are on their nerves.

“We need more security personnel and police cars.”

Nana Okyere Bediako further appealed for a District capital.

He said that, Kwamang can not continue to rely on Nsuta and Mampong.
