The founder and President of Concern Voters Movement (CVM), Razak Kojo Opoku, has subtly jabbed Hon. Kennedy Agyapong over claims that all politicians from the north have failed their people in terms of development.
Hon. Agyapong stated in an interview on Sunyani-based Suncity Radio that irrespective of whatever role a politician holds or has held, if he or she was from the north, they must accept that they have failed their people.
But Razak Kojo Opoku responded on Wontumi TV that “How can somebody go to a program and say that politicians from the north have failed people in the north? What about the southern politicians? Since independence, apart from Limann and Mahama, how many northerners have had the chance to rule Ghana? The rest are all southerners”.
The comment by the Member of Parliament for Assin Central was considered an indirect attack on Vice President Bawumia by Mr. Kojo Opoku, but was quick to tosh that statements by Hon. Agyapong.
He avers that it is rather politicians from the south who have failed their people when it comes to development.
“Central region is part of the poorest region in Ghana”, Razak said noting that the Volta region is also a poor region despite having their kinsmen ruling Ghana as President respectively.
