A former Central regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has declined an offer to speak about former President John Mahama and insisted that he would rather want to focus on speaking on a competent politician like vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
“I won’t want to talk about Mahama, he was once a friend, I want to talk about Bawumia”, Allotey Jacobs said as he spoke on Movement TV about the need for Ghanaians to vote for a competent person like Bawumia.
“I know Bawumia’s father, I worked with him during PNDC era when I was Youth Organiser. Bawumia has the nature and semblance of his father and I know he can make it.
A Northerner (Bawumia’s father) who became Chairman for Cocobod and did a good work there despite the north not being a cocoa growing area. Then you know his son can also make it. Sometimes you look at the background; like father like son, I know the son can do better like the father”, he said.
