Bawku Conflict: A Gonja Man Is Destroying Relationship Between Kusasis And Mamprusis- Ellen Daaku

A Communications team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ellen Ama Daaku, is blaming President John Mahama for stoking unnecessary fire into the Bawku conflict.

Ellen Daaku believes the posture of President Mahama of siding with one group in the conflict has worsened the over hundred (100) years old conflict.

“John Mahama and the NDC turned the tribal conflict into a political one. They did that to hurt Bawumia because he is a party to one of the tribes feuding at Bawku”, she said.

She further accused Mr. Mahama using the conflict as a political campaign message which has backfired on his government.

“As soon as the NPP made Bawumia a flagbearer then the NDC led by Mahama who is a Gonja stepped in to destroy the relationship between Kusasis and Mamprusis. He turned it into a political conflict. That is what he did last year”, she narrated on the Wednesday edition of Movement in the Morning Political Show.

She also appealed on the Asantehene, to reject an appeal from President John Mahama and the NDC to mediate and bring peace to the area.

According to her, the NDC have insulted the revered King severally and cannot pretended all is well for doing that.
