Ballon d’Or 2025: ‘Without a doubt’- Rabiot, Luis Enrique name player to win award
PSG boss Luis Enrique and Marseille midfielder Adrien Rabiot have claimed that PSG forward Ousmane Dembélé will win the Ballon d’Or this year.
Rabiot, a former Juventus man, spoke to the media on Monday ahead of Spain vs France, insisting that Dembélé deserved the Ballon d’Or.
Driving home his point, the midfielder pointed out that his countryman helped PSG claim the Champions League and other trophies this season.
He said via GFFN, “For me, Dembélé deserves the Ballon d’Or.”
Enrique added that Dembélé helped the French champions a lot this season with exceptional performances.
He said via beIN Sports, “…I would give the Ballon d’Or to Ousmane Dembélé… He deserves the Ballon d’Or, without a doubt…”
Dembélé is fighting for the Ballon d’Or with Mohamed Salah, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal. The trio were in exceptional form this season and helped their sides win their respective league titles.
However, Dembélé finished the season with the Ligue 1 title, the UEFA Champions League medal, and the Coupe de France. He also won the Player of the Season award in the Champions League.
Dembélé netted 21 goals in Ligue 1 this season and assisted six times.
In the Champions League, the 22-year-old scored eight goals and made six assists.
He scored three goals in three starts in the Coupe de France, and the lone goal in the Trophée des Champions also came from his boots.
