Even with his political party in opposition, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin continues to live an opulent lifestyle.
Mr. Hopeson Adorye has claimed that the wife of Hon. Bagbin, goes to market in the company of armed policemen just to buy vegetables from the market.
The accusation by Mr. Adorye follows the brouhaha surrounding the huge number of armed police and military officers who follow Mr. Bagbin anytime he moves around.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Mr. Adorye gave a pictorial description of how Mr. Bagbin who is not on the level of the President and Vice President abuses the security setup of the country.
“What is in your head that makes him think he needs military protection? When Bagin moves, he has two (2) police motorcade, then a Landcruiser filled with police officers follows, the third Landcruiser sits him, then the one that follows him is filled with police. Then after them, comes a police vehicle. He has 13 policemen surrounding him”, Mr. Adorye said.

At the residence of the Speaker, Mr. Adorye stated that four (4) policemen have been permanently stationed there.
Adding that his children and wife also have armed police officers following them at school and at the market.
