The Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako and the party’s parliamentary candidate for Assin North, Charles Opoku, are teaching the children in the area healthy eating habits as they go about campaigning.
The NPP Chairman popularly known as Chairman Wontumi together with Charles Opoku, were seen distributing banana to children and encouraging them to eat the fruit.
This act by the duo has earned them massive applause in the area.
In a separate video, they were seen giving biscuits to the children who were excited to have an encounter with them.
Prior to this, the Chief of Assin Breman led his people to welcome Chairman Wontumi and Charles Opoku into their town.
The gesture which was captured on video shows the chief and elders of a town within Assin North openly welcoming Chairman Wontumi and talking about offering their support to Charles Opoku to become the next Member of Parliament for the area.
“We are calling on you to ensure Charles Opoku comes out victorious in the election ahead”, the chief said as he poured libation unto the gods.
Chairman Wontumi in return, thanked them especially the chief of the Assin Breman for the gesture.
