Asokwa Municipal NADMO Officers Take COVID-19 Education To Markets And Streets.

The Asokwa Municipal Directorate of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has for about two weeks carried out public education on COVID-19 in the markets of the Municiplaity.

Led by the Director of the Department, Eric Akosah toured markets such as Atonsu-Agogo, Monaco and Mandela, all in the Asokwa Municipality with staff and officers of the Department.

Pedestrians and other road users along the routes in Asokwa were not left out in the exercise.

Carrying out spontaneous pep talks and whistle stops at the various areas the team toured, the officers urged the public to take the act of nose wearing seriously.

MORE EDUCATION:
At the markets, the traders were taken through the proper way of wearing the nose masks and the need to keep the markets clean and neat at all times.

The proper application of hand sanitizers were also taught by the team.

Speaking to the media, the municipal Director of NADMO, Mr Eric Nana Akosah said the exercise was an important one.

He thanked the MCE for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah for facilitating the education drive.

APPEAL:
Mr Akosah called on the public to take personal precautions at the house and place of work.

Such precautions, he noted would prevent them from contracting the dreaded disease.

He thanked the team for displaying passion and commitment in carrying out the exercise and noted that more of such would be coming up as the viral disease lurks around.
