Asokwa Assembly Members Declare Support For Akufo-Addo, Mama Pat.
Eleven (11) out of the twelve elected assembly members in the Asokwa Municipality Monday morning declared support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
They also declared full support for Madam Patricia Appiagyei as their preferred choice as MP in the upcoming parliamentary election in Asokwa.
Addressing the media in Kumasi at the Ahensan Community Center, Elliot Fosu Barnor, Presiding Member of the Assembly said upon sober reflection the members believe the pair of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Madam Patricia Appiagyei would help push the transformational agenda of the Asokwa Municipality.
Mr Barnor said just two years in the Municipal Assembly after its creation by the Local government Ministry, the MP supported by the MCE for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasa Gyimah have ensured the development of the electoral areas within Asokwa.
PROJECTS:
Mr Barnor said each of the elected Assembly Members can point to school infrastructure as well as other projects in their electoral areas.
He noted that the implementation of programmes such as NABCO and the one district one factory has given job opportunities for the Youth of Asokwa.
These avenues as well as many infrastural projects, the Assembly members said have become possible by the government of Nana Addo and the industry of the two-time MP, Madam Patricia Appiagyei.
The group, the PM said believe strongly with the pair of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Mama Pat as leaders they are sure to get more development projects and initiatives to their electoral communities.
RESOLVE:
The spokesperson of the elected assembly members as well as the unit committee members present committed to engage more with the people of Asokwa to get more people to identify with the choice they have made.
He noted that a more vigorous approach would be deployed from today to ensure they reach every voter with the message of progress by the NPP.
The PM urged the people of Asokwa to come out to vote massively on December 7 for the NPP presidential as well as parliamentary candidates.
He noted the positions of both candidates is unmissable since they are placed on the first position of the ballot paper.
