Ashanti Region Secures Over $1 Billion Projects Under NPP
Ashanti Region under the administration of the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) has chalked projects at the cost of $1bn417m.
This was revealed by the Amoamanhene, Nana Agyenim Boateng, the First, on Wontumi Radio and TV Morning Show.
According to him, Ashanti Region under the opposition NDC had just $259.425m projects.
Nana Agyenim Boateng stated that the Kejetia redevelopment project is the only existing project that was started by the past government and has enjoyed a continuation by the Akufo-Addo led government.
“In the first budget of President Akufo-Addo he allotted $248m for the continuation of the Kejetia market project,” he noted.
The Managing Director of Cocoa Processing company stressed that, if Asanteman comes under one umbrella, the government and the Asantehene are willing to develop the Region.
