Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Yandoh, has launched a scathing attack on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, accusing them of neglecting the Ashanti Region.
Speaking on Wontumi Morning Show on Wontumi TV, Yandoh expressed disappointment and frustration over the region’s treatment, citing the recent allocation of GH¢500,000 to support victims of an incident in Konongo Odumasi, compared to GH¢200 million donated to the Volta Region for tidal wave relief efforts.
“This is a clear indication of the NDC’s lack of interest in the welfare of the Ashanti Region. It’s unacceptable that the region would receive such a paltry sum for a significant incident, while another region receives a whopping GH¢200 million for a similar disaster,” Yandoh said.
Yandoh questioned the NDC’s priorities, accusing them of failing to fulfill their promises, including investing in the Women’s Bank.
“The NDC made grand promises to the people of Ghana, but they have failed to deliver. Their lack of vision and policy direction has left our country in a state of stagnation,” he stressed.
He praised Ashanti Region MPs for their performance and encouraged them to continue exposing the NDC’s governance.
“Our MPs have done a great job in highlighting the NDC’s failures and advocating for the needs of our region. We must continue to hold the NDC accountable for their actions and ensure that they prioritize the needs of all Ghanaians, ” he emphasized.
