The first vice-chairman of the New Patriotic Party Ashanti Region, Hon. Kwabena Nsenkyire has dispelled notion that the party’s secretariat has been locked up.
Earlier on, there were reports that the regional party office has been locked up, affecting administrative operations.
But responding to the report, Hon. Nsenkyire revealed that the person behind the “fake news” deliberately placed his own padlock on the entrance of the building and took a photo of it to create an impression the place has been locked up.
Speaking a video which was played on Wontumi TV’s Talk Ghana Show, Hon. Kwabena Nsenkyire stated that “these are the real keys to the padlock we use here, come inside the building with me. You can see here the portrait of the Chairman of all time here…it is out of envy that they are doing this but God is alive and things will get better for us.”
He added that Chairman Wontumi has plans in place to ensure the party stop renting their current office and move into their own building.
“Next two months, we will hold our regional delegate conference in the edifice Chairman Wontumi is building for us”, he added.
