The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, has announced that changes have been made regarding the Ashanti regional New Patriotic Party Executive election which was initially scheduled for Friday, May 27, 2022.
The Regional Minister who doubles as the Regional Elections Committee Chairman for the NPP, stated on Wontumi TV that instead of Friday, the election would be held on Saturday.
He also added that the venue for the election has been moved from the Regional Coordinating Council to the Kumasi Sports Stadium.
“The venue has been changed to Kumasi Sports Stadium. Delegates and aspirants, the media would have a special place to be stationed”, he said as he also hinted that the album to be used for the election is not ready.
“The album has to be created by National which would then be given to the EC before they send a copy to the region…The album isn’t ready so it would be difficult to hold the election”, he explained.
