Ashanti NPP Boycotts Multimedia Outfit.

The Ashanti Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) through its Communication Directorate Tuesday morning announced its boycott of Nhyira FM especially its political shows of Kukurantumi and Kuro Yi Mu Ns3m hosted by one Nana Kwadwo Jantuah.

The Directorate says the show host is alleged to be receiving favours from the NDC and that makes him unfit to be a neutral arbiter.

Addressing the media, Dennis Kwakwa, Communications Director of the Ashanti NPP said the conduct of the media outfit since the allegations of bribery was levelled against the show host leaves much to be desired.

“The approach of the media outfit since the allegation was leveled on the show host has been wishy-washy”, the Director of Communications stated.

DETAILS:
The Communications Director said Nhyira FM through its show host has been unfair in its criticisms of the NPP.

This, he noted makes the allegation of bribery on the host a serious matter to be investigated thoroughly.

Mr Kwakwa disclosed the NPP has information that the alleged 2, 000 dollars and 2000gh  cedis bribe offered to Jantuah was not a one-off thing.

“The party has information that the NDC has been offering the said amounts at periodic intervals to Mr Jantuah and that makes him unfit to host any show on Multimedia”, Mr Kwakwa stated.

BACKGROUND:
A week ago, a telephone conversation between two serial callers by the name Appiah Stadium and Julius Agahowa went viral.

On the tape, the two mentioned that an amount of $2000 dollars and GHC 2000.00 was made ready to be given to Jantuah, the show host at Nhyira FM.

The two however on the tape said the amount was diverted but mentioned that the Show Host was doing the NDCs bidding and was therefore fit to receive the amount.

Multimedia in a statement has however described the video and the contents as hollow and shallow, adding that independent checks and contacts with the named persons showed that nothing of the sort happened.
