Asante Kotoko have named midfielder Richard Boadu as their new captain for the 2022/23 season.
Boadu has only been at Kotoko for a year, but the club believe he is capable of leading them and have handed him the armband.
He will be assisted by defender Yussif Mubarik (first deputy), Ibrahim Danland (second deputy), Christopher Nettey (third deputy) and new signing Pouaty Dendoum (fourth deputy).
Ismail Ganiyu, who captained the team last season, is set to leave after requesting a contract termination.
Kotoko are in Sudan getting ready for the new season. During their two-week stay in the North African country, they will play four friendly matches.
