A member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) communications team, Mr. Agyemang, has made a startling call for the immediate arrest of the national security coordinator.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Agyemang alleged that the coordinator is aware of the whereabouts of missing containers and should be taken into custody to face prosecution.
Agyemang expressed frustration that despite evidence of the coordinator’s knowledge, the energy minister and security agencies remain silent on the matter. He questioned why the government is hesitant to reveal the identities of those responsible, insinuating that they might be protecting individuals close to them.
The missing containers have sparked widespread concern, with many Ghanaians pointing fingers at foreign nationals. However, Agyemang believes that the truth lies closer to home, suggesting that corrupt elements within the state might be involved.
Agyemang painted a grim picture, drawing parallels between Ghana’s situation and that of countries like Venezuela and Mexico, where organized crime has significant influence over state institutions.
“From the look of things, Ghana is becoming like Venezuela, Mexico, and the likes. It’s like some cartels are controlling the state at this point,” he said.
His comments have raised eyebrows, with many Ghanaians demanding answers and accountability. As the controversy surrounding the missing containers continues to unfold, one thing is clear: the nation is watching, and justice is expected.
