The Ghana Police Service should equally extend an invitation to former President John Mahama and Sammy Gyamfi for being agents of misinformation and disinformation, Gordon Asare-Bediako has said.
His comment follows an earlier invitation to Oheneba Nana Asiedu by the police service over peddling of false information.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command on Friday, November 22, 2024, invited Oheneba following allegations that he had encouraged voters to cast their ballots for presidential candidates on separate days during the upcoming December general elections.
Reacting to the news on Movement TV, Gordon Asare-Bediako, stated that the move by the police should be extended to Sammy Gyamfi and Mr. John Mahama.
He charged the Police to arrest former President John Mahama for claiming that he brought free SHS to Ghana.
“Go and arrest Mahama too, he said he brought free SHS. That is pure lies”, he noted.
“If the police can invite Oheneba, then they should invite the NDC’s propaganda secretary Sammy Gyamfi”, he said.
He continued that Sammy Gyamfi has falsely accused a senior member of the military of plotting to kill people.
“He held a press conference and falsely said the officer wants to kill NDC members like flies and mosquitoes. He pasted his pictures on his facebook wall, isn’t this misinformation and disinformation? Didn’t the IGP hear this from Sammy Gyamfi?” he asked.
