Appointment Of MMDCEs To Be Fairly Balanced- Effiduase MP
Member of Parliament for Effiduase Constituency, Hon. Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie is of the view that the appointment of the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives would be balanced.
He said, about 98% of the appointees would be the wish of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) members.
Speaking on “The Privilege Morning Show” on Wontumi Radio/TV, he said, ” if the appointment comes out, the disappointment will not be enormous.”
He indicated that, there is strong cooperation among the NPP members in the Ashanti Region.
Dr. Ayew Afriyie stressed that if the cooperation continues, the NPP will stand tall in the 2024 general elections.
He, however commended the party’s Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako for his posture in the 2020 general elections.
“I quarreled with Wontumi on some decisions in Effiduase but later I realized he has a good posture,” he said.
He said he will continue to praise Chairman Wontumi for the understanding between Regional team of the MMDCE vetting committee.
The Effiduase Constituency MP emphasized that Ashanti Region is the stronghold of the party and as a matter of fact if the ruling party wants to break the eight year jinx, there should be peace in the Region.
