Anti-LGBTQI+ Bill- Parliament Receives 124 Petitions
Parliament has so far received 124 petitions both for and against the passage of the Anti-LGBTQI+ bill.
This was disclosed by the Chairperson of Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Kwame Anyimadu Antwi on Wontumi TV Morning Show.
He said the Anti-LGBTQI+ is a private member bill that was brought before parliament so it’s not surprised some MPs have already declared their status.
The MP for Asante- Akim Central Constituency noted that the bill is still in deliberation stage and that the duration is not known.
Hon. Anyimadu Antwi noted that this is not the first time such a controversial Bill has been laid before Parliament.
