Aniwaba Jeremiah Seeks Re-Election as Northern Regional NPP Deputy Secretary

Aniwaba Kwaku Bediaku Jeremiah, the Deputy Northern Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has officially announced his intention to seek re-election in the party’s upcoming regional executive elections.

In a statement addressed to party members, Jeremiah described his tenure as a “tremendous journey,” highlighting his efforts in strengthening the party across constituencies in the Northern Region through extensive grassroots engagement and party mobilisation.

He acknowledged the party’s defeat in the last general elections, including the loss of the presidential race and several parliamentary seats, but urged members not to be discouraged. According to him, the setback should rather serve as motivation for the party to reorganise and return stronger.

Jeremiah cited the NPP’s victory in the Kpandai Constituency following the 2020 parliamentary defeat as an example of what unity, hard work, and consistent community engagement can achieve.

He stated that throughout his time in office, he remained accessible to party members and served selflessly, using personal resources to support party activities and energise the grassroots base.

Declaring his bid for another term, Jeremiah said his decision is driven by the need to continue rebuilding the party and reclaim lost parliamentary seats in the region while working toward victory in the next presidential election.

“I will not relent until we reclaim the majority of seats in the region and win the presidential election,” he stated, appealing to party delegates and members for their support and endorsement.

He expressed confidence that his experience, dedication, and familiarity with all 18 constituencies position him well to continue serving the party effectively.

DECLARATION OF INTENT

It has been a tremendous journey serving as Deputy Northern Regional NPP Secretary. Travelling from one constituency to another, I’ve worked tirelessly to make our great NPP shine across the region.

We gave it our all in the last election, yet favour and grace eluded us. We lost the presidential election and most of our parliamentary seats. Should that discourage us? The answer is a resounding NO.

We must reorganise and return stronger – just as we did in Kpandai after losing the 2020 parliamentary election. We knocked on doors, engaged communities, villages and towns to secure victory for Hon Matthew Nyindam.

In fact, as the deputy secretary, I was always available to the services of party members anytime I am called upon. I have served the party selflessly with all that I had including my little resource just to make sure the base is energized. I give no excuses and always respond to issues promptly when called upon.

It is on the back of this rejuvenation that I, ANIWABA KWAKU BEDIAKU JEREMIAH, hereby inform the rank and file of our great Party in the Northern Region that I will seek re-election as DEPUTY REGIONAL SECRETARY.

I am known in all the 18 constituencies for my hard work and dedication. I will not relent until we reclaim the majority of seats in the region and win the presidential election as well.

I therefore ask for your support and endorsement.

Signed
ANIWABA KWAKU BEDIAKU JEREMIAH
(Deputy Northern Regional Secretary)
