Ameri Power Plant To Be Extended To Ashanti Over Power Outages-Energy Minister
The Energy Minister, Hon Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has informed that, he will ensure the extension of Ameri Power Plant in the Ashanti Region.
The Ameri Plant will facilitate the power issues in the region and help deal with the power outages experienced lately.
Ashanti region hosting a power plant, will be of great benefits in the sense that there wouldn’t be disruptions with energy and will make effective power supply to the northern and other sectors as well.
The minister made the revelation at Asantehene’s palace when he introduced the management of Gridco, VRA and Electricity Company to Otumfuo whilst updating the King on the cause of the power outages experienced in the region lately, saying the inconsistencies is as a result of disruptions by a Glo telephone Mast which saw Gridco, VRA and the electricity company of Ghana mast destroyed.
He said, renovations to that effect are ongoing and assures that their services will soon go back to normal.
The Manhyia South MP asked for support and prayers from the king as they embark on the journey.
