Algerian Football Federation President Resigns
The head of the Algerian Football Association, Charafeddine Amara, announced on Thursday, his resignation from his position, against the background of his country’s failure to reach the 2022 World Cup.
Emara also announced, during a press conference held today, Thursday, the appointment of his deputy, Muhammad Mahoush, as president in charge of managing the affairs of the union until an electoral general assembly is held to choose a new board of directors.
Algeria lost to its guest, Cameroon, by two goals to one, on Tuesday, in the second leg of the qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup, after winning the first leg with a clear goal, to be deposited in the qualifiers with the rule of calculating the goal away from the ground with two goals.
