Senior lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University (KSTU), Dr. Samuel Afriyie has described the former Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen as a disappointment and a non-patriotic politician.
He said the late resignation of Mr. Kyerematen from the NPP shows that he’s not fit to win as a president in Ghana and any other country in the world.
“The environment we find ourselves in politics in Africa or anywhere in the world is not that easy to win elections, it’s tough and one must accept the fact”
Dr Samuel said the attitude of Mr. Kyerematen in the political domain should change before he becomes a successful leader in his political career.
“You don’t quit when you are been intimidated, sometimes you need to stand up and defend your people”
“For you to be elected as a presidential candidate of a party, you need to invest in the party”
He challenged Hon. Alan Kyerematen to openly announce to Ghanaians the polling station he cast his vote and the constituency he belongs to in the Ashanti Region.
“I don’t know where he cast his vote in the Ashanti Region that makes him the symbol of an Ashanti and why he always claim he is the face of NPP in the Ashanti Region”
Dr Afriyie admitted that the NPP will depreciate in numbers especially in the Ashanti region but the explosion of the effect depends on how the NPP will conduct itself
