4Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has predicted that Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will win the NPP flagbearership race and march on to win the 2024 elections.
According to Chairman Wontumi as he is affectionately called the loud cheers Dr Bawumia received at the Akwasidae festival at Manhyia on Sunday, 19/03/2023 buttresses his statement.
Speaking on Wontumi TV Morning Show he said “what happened at Manhyia on Sunday is a clear indication of Bawumia’s upper hand over the contest. “This shows when the nomination is opened, Dr Bawumia will win the flagbearership race and win the 2024 elections,” he noted.
Chairman Wontumi indicated that Dr Bawumia came to celebrate the Akwasidee with his father, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.
However, the NPP Chairman said he is happy the Presidential candidate race has been opened for all.
