Akufo-Addo Has Used Only Two Years To Attain Success- Adansihene
Adansihene, Opegyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie, has argued that President Akufo-Addo has used only two years to chalk all his monumental successes in his first term in office.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo used his first year to strategize and also to appoint his Ministers while the greater part of this year (2020) has been characterized by the COVID-19 related challenges.
The Adansihene who was addressing a gathering attended by the President noted that if Nana Akufo-Addo had been elected in 2008 the country would have advanced much faster.
“The achievements creates the impression that had you been elected earlier the country’s advancement would have peaked even higher than we are currently witnessing.” He said
However, Nana Bonsra Afriyie said that most of the government appointees in the area including the Members of Parliament have not helped the various communities in Adansi to develop.
He appealed to President Akufo-Addo to ensure that the appointment of the District Chief Executives goes through a rigorous election process after consultation has been done with Nananom as the traditional leaders of the people of Adansi.
Meanwhile Nana Bonsra Afriyie revealed that some Cocoa plantations are being destroyed because of illegal mining and urged the president to address the situation.
