The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has responded to former President John Mahama’s message at Kejeji that sought to ridicule the government of President Akufo-Addo.
“You didn’t inherit a government that was facing the effect of a Russia-Ukraine war. You didn’t inherit a government that had handled over all its rights and power to IMF. You were just a clueless man who benefitted from the death of another man to be Ghana’s President”, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi said.
Chairman Wontumi pointed out that inasmuch as there is global hardship which has greatly affected the economy of Ghana, Ghanaians still trust President Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr. Bawumia to do a better job than Mr. John Mahama.
“You are not a new person to Ghanaians. We all know you like the back of our hands because you are a failed President. Between you and President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia, Ghanaians would stick to the two and not you”, Chairman Wontumi said as he discredited former President John Mahama’s message at Kejeji.
Mr. Mahama is claiming that the living condition of Ghanaians got worse after he exited power and handed over to President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.
Mr. Mahama claimed that “While in opposition, President Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, and their people were making a lot of noise. Among that noise were, we are sitting on money but we are still hungry and so Ghanaians decided to give them the chance to rule and now the evidence is clear. The evidence is clear in the lives of Ghanaians and we can all see that these people were just liars. Now, everyone has seen how Akufo-Addo and Bawumia are struggling in this government now. Most importantly Ghanaians are struggling and their living conditions worse.”
But Chairman Wontumi responded that Mr. Mahama’s government made things worse before handing over to President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia. He explained that the social intervention programs introduced by the current NPP government have come to reduce the sufferings of Ghanaians.
