Agradaa returns home after serving 8 months in prison

After spending eight months in prison, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been released.

Her husband, Asiamah, announced the news on Facebook on Tuesday, March 3, saying, “Thank God my wife is finally home.”

Nana Agradaa is expected to make her first public appearance later today when she joins members of her church for a fellowship service, marking her return to public life.

She was initially sentenced to 15 years in prison on July 3, 2025, after being convicted for defrauding by false pretence and promoting charlatanic practices.

However, her lawyers appealed the sentence, describing it as harsh. The Amasaman High Court later reviewed the case and reduced her jail term to 12 months during a hearing on February 5, 2026.

The court also fined her 200 penalty units (GH₵2,400), ordered her to refund GH₵1,000 to two complainants, and imposed additional fines related to another charge.

Her release has been welcomed with celebrations from family, friends, and members of her church.
