A former confidante of Alan Kyeremanten, Frederick Opare-Ansah, has tipped vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to easily win the New Patriotic Party (NPP) power in 2024.
In an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, the former Member of Parliament of Suhum Constituency stated that he has analysed and weighed the chances of the two candidates and has arrived at a conclusion that Bawumia’s chance of winning the NPP power in 2024, is “much much higher” than that of Alan Kyeremanten.
He added that vice President Bawumia has vision and that makes him the right man to lead the NPP to victory.
“As I sit here, I am no longer in Parliament, I am not a minister or CEO, I am also not on any board belonging to government but it is the vision I see in the man (Bawumia) that makes me believe he is the right man to lead us. He has not promised me anything neither has anybody given me money to follow him”, he said.
He advised against describing people who have declared support for Bawumia as politicians who have received bribed to do so.
“When I entered parliament in 2005, I was moving with Alan Kyeremanten until last year 2022. It is false for people to make wild allegations that those following Bawumia are being forced to do so”, he said.
