A renowned political researcher, Dr. Smart Sarpong, has drawn a distinction between the removal of Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong from office as against that of Haruna Iddrisu and Muntaka Mohammed.
Dr. Smart Sarpong advised against comparing the two by stating on Wontumi TV that before Mr. Paul Afoko and Mr. Kwabena Agyapong were removed from office, almost every member of the New Patriotic Party was made aware of the decision the party wanted to take.
He pointed out that in the case of of Haruna Iddrisu and Muntaka Mohammed, it took every member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by surprise meaning that there was less consultation throughout the process.
Dr. Smart Sarpong explained that the current national Chairman for the NDC and his General Secretary, were using the power they have to sideline people they don’t want to work with.
