After analyzing the content of Afia Schwarzenegger’s to the Tema High Court, Lawyer George Oppong has emphatically stated that she wrote it out of bad faith and must not be accepted.
However, writing an apology after a verdict has been delivered means she is doing it out of bad faith, Lawyer Oppong said on Wontumi TV.
“Her apology is borne out of bad faith. Her apology should have come before the court gave its verdict. UTV did the right thing before the verdict came out but with Afia, it is too late in the day”, he underscored in an interview monitored by Wontumionline.com.
According to the lawyer, Afia Schwar’s apology would have meant well if she had written it before the court sentenced her to 10 days in prisons.
Ghanaian showbiz personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, has rendered an apology to the Tema High Court, where she has been sentenced to ten days imprisonment for making comments deemed to be contemptuous.
On Tuesday, lawyer for Afia Schwarzenegger, Adrian Duke Amaning moved a motion to apologize to the court and with the permission of the court to publish the apology.
But lawyer for Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, Maurice Ampaw objected to the move and pleaded with the court to uphold the custodial sentence.
