Zambia’s Chipolopolo Boys will camp in Accra for 5 days ahead of their 2023 AFCON qualifier against the Ivory Coast in Yamoussoukro next week.
A contingent of players, officials, and technical team members are airborne heading to the Kotoka International Airport and are expected to touch down by 5 PM local time.
The flight from Lusaka to Accra takes 10 hours and the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Facebook page shared images of the team onboard a flight and gave further details about the team’s itinerary when they arrive in Ghana.

ROAD TO IVORY COAST 2023: Chipolopolo Boys Off to AccraThe Chipolopolo boys are off to Accra, Ghana for an international camp ahead of the June 3 Group H AFCON qualifier against Ivory Coast in Yamoussoukro. Aljosa Asanovic’s troops will be in Accra to acclimatize with West African conditions before flying to Yamoussoukro on June 1. Zambia will host Comoros on June 7 at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
The Southern Africans have been drawn into Group H along with Comoros, Ivory Coast, and Lesotho.
