Adopt Innovative Ways Of Exercising Professionalism- Hon. Osei Mensah To Journalists
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah says the role of the media in the country’s development is indispensable.
To this, the Hon. Simon Osei Mensah has tasked Journalists to adopt innovative ways of exercising utmost professionalism and responsibility in the conduct of their work.
The Ashanti Regional Minister was speaking at the open ceremony at the maiden National Media Capacity Enhancement Programme held in Kumasi on Monday.
According to him, some broadcasters indulge in inaccurate information and total false presentation but the Media Enhancement program will minimise such unfortunate practices.
“The Media Capacity Enhancement Program has been introduced at the right time and if sustained, will contribute to the streamlining of the media and sanitize the whole media landscape, ” he said.
Hon. Osei Mensah added that the Programme will improve the quality of news delivery in the country.
He stressed that the Programme is crucial to the future of journalism and the democracy of the country.
The Regional Minister, however, commended the Information Ministry for choosing Kumasi to host the maiden edition of the program.
