Renowned Nollywood actress, Ini Dima-Okojie, has tearfully disclosed that her fibroids have returned, despite undergoing surgery to remove them two years ago.
In 2022, she underwent a myomectomy, a surgical procedure aimed at removing fibroids, after first being diagnosed with the condition in 2017, which had given her hope until now.
Encouraging other women to prioritise timely medical tests, Ini Dima-Okojie shared on Instagram how she began noticing symptoms again.
Seeking a long-term solution, she has opted to explore alternative methods for shrinking the fibroids instead of undergoing another myomectomy.
She shared, “My Fibroid Journey! I never imagined I’d be sharing this again after my last update on 30/12/2020, but here I am. My journey with fibroids isn’t over—I recently learned they’ve returned.”
To every woman battling fibroids, she expressed solidarity, acknowledging the challenges of the journey and expressing hope for changing the narrative and discovering a genuine and lasting remedy for fibroids.
