Ghana’s Parliament, has suffered a dip in quality because of the presence of Okudzeto Ablakwa and Mubarak Muntaka, Mr. David Boakye has said.
Mr. Boakye who is the Bono East regional Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stated on Wontumi TV that NDC legislators especially the two aforementioned names, are only good at picking news on social media and not embarking on research.
“The quality of debate in parliament has reduced because of NDC. They just pick stuff from social media and talk about it in parliament. They don’t research so when you pick Parliamentary Hansard, it is not quality” David Boakye said.
He continued that when the issue of airplane came up for discussion, the only ‘sensible’ thing Okudzeto Ablakwa could say was that he would frustrate government when it comes to purchasing it.
He used the platform to remind the NDC legislators that when the NPP were in opposition in 1997, their (NPP) legislators made cogent arguments on the floor of Parliament.
