A/R: NPP Has Already Won The Election- Regional Minister As He Tours Polling Centers
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah has reiterated that, Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP would win the election as he tours some polling centers within the Region.
According to him, he has always been saying that, God has already done his part for the NPP and it is left with the turn of Ghanaians.
In an interview with Wontumionline.com, the Regional Minister hoped that the gap between the NPP and the NDC in the Region would be very wide.
“If the NDC see that the gap is 1.2 million to 1.5 million they will know that it’s a done deal.” He said
General Impression After The Tour
Hon. Simon Osei Mensah said that, he is happy about the turnout of the voters.
He noted that, he is expecting about 80% to 90% turnout.
The Ashanti Regional Minister stressed that, he is happy how the electorates observed the COVID-19 protocols.
On Chaos
Hon. Simon Osei Mensah revealed that it was only Edwinase polling station in the new Edubiase Constituency that he heard that some suspected NDC guys went to cause disturbances since there was no security officer guarding the polling station.
But the Head of REGSEC indicated that he quickly assigned a security officer to the area.
He said that, he heard the Member of Parliament and the Parliamentary candidate for the NDC, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak organizing press conference that he has watched a video of some people holding thumb printed ballot papers.
“Hon. Muntaka couldn’t give evidence. We will investigate into that. I don’t believe in the video evidence because it is not credible.” He said
