A/R: DCE Charges Assembly Members To Help Elevate To Municipality Status
Hon. Rebecca Yeboah( Amansanboafo), the District Chief Executive for Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly in the Ashanti region is optimistic by the end of 2024, the Assembly would be lifted to a Municipality status as she calls for support from Assembly Member.
She made this known during emergency Assembly meeting held at Barekese to elect Presiding Member of which the incumbent PM, Hon. Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh who is also the Assembly Member for Achiase Electoral Area went unopposed.
According to report from Nana Akwasi Kyere, all the 25 Assembly Members present voted overwhelmingly YES to maintain him as the PM.
Hon Rebecca Yeboah was proud of the Assembly for the peaceful endorsement saying, it would go a long way to boost the pace of developmental projects in the district.
Meanwhile, Hon. Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh, the elected Presiding Member for Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly & Dean of all Presiding Members in Ashanti Region who is in his 4th term as Presiding Member from Atwima Nwabiagya District then to Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly, was grateful to his colleagues for the support and has open his door to everyone.
Some Assembly members who spoke with the media were happy of the overwhelmingly endorsement attributing the good leadership of their PM has improved the Assembly development.
