Attorney General, Dominic Ayine, has announced that he will be meeting with the ORAL Committee early next week, most likely on Monday, to receive a briefing on their progress with ongoing investigations.
Dominic Ayine indicated that the committee would provide an update on the information they have gathered thus far, which will be reviewed as part of the government’s legal processes.
However, Dominic Ayine clarified an important distinction during his remarks, emphasizing that the information provided by the committee is separate from evidence that can be used in a court of law.
“Information is different from evidence that can be used in a court of law,” he explained, underscoring the importance of ensuring that any data collected is properly vetted before being used in legal proceedings.
This upcoming briefing is expected to play a key role in shaping the Attorney General’s next steps as he continues to oversee the administration of justice in the country.
