Ouattara Declares Hearts Of Oak The Best Team Despite Finishing Fifth
Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara believes his side was the standout team in the just-ended 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season despite not clinching the title.
The Phobians wrapped up their campaign in 5th place with 58 points after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over FC Samartex in their final match at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking in a post-match interview, the Ivorian tactician insisted his team outperformed others over the course of the season.
“Hearts of Oak were the best team in the 2024/25 season,” Ouattara boldly stated.
With the 2025/26 season on the horizon, Hearts of Oak are expected to reinforce their squad as they aim for a stronger title challenge.
In a related development, reports suggest that former Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu is being considered for the head coach role ahead of the new campaign.
